Lula officials are gearing up for a special election to replace City Councilman Norman Harrop, who is preparing for a move of his own. Qualifying for the May 20 election is set for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 7-9 at City Hall, 6055 Main St. in Lula For those interested, the fee is $90. Harrop, whose last day is today, had served in the city’s Post 4 seat since Jan. 1, 2012.
