Performances of the annual Living Christmas Tree at First Baptist Church of Gainesville began Thursday and will run through Sunday.
“Our goal is to remind people of the prophecy of the coming of the Messiah and to celebrate God’s revealing himself to us through the birth, the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ,” said Mark Green, associate pastor of music at the church on Green Street.
The event includes a choir, choreographed lighting and orchestra.
Remaining performances are at 7:30 p.m. today; 4:30 p.m. Saturday; and 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday. Get free tickets by calling 678-677-8064 or visiting www.fbcgainesville.org/lct-ticket-request/.
