A large tree fell across Forrest Avenue in Gainesville on Saturday, knocking down power lines. Gainesville police and firefighters responded and blocked traffic entering from Bradford and Green streets. Firefighters said the seemingly endless downpour of rain in recent days caused the tree to be uprooted.
