John Simpson, who has been at Lakeview Academy for a decade, has been named enrollment and external relations director.

He has been the dean of students for six years. He also has coached for five years.

Simpson has an Ed.S. in educational leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.

He serves on the boards of Gainesville Parks and Recreation and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

He also has a Sunday ministry — Lakeside Church at the Gainesville Marina, with his sister, Joy Griffin — who is president of United Way of Hall County.
