JEFFERSON — Jackson EMC is taking applications for three scholarship awards based on academic ability, faculty recommendations and financial need. Winners will be chosen by a scholarship committee, which will review each application in search of the most qualified applicants.

The Walter Harrison Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded statewide to undergraduate students enrolled in or accepted by a Georgia college, university or technical school.

The A.T. Sharpton-Gainesville State College Award is a $1,000 scholarship available exclusively to students planning to attend Gainesville State College.

The A.T. Sharpton Unrestricted Scholarship Award is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in any accredited two- or four-year college or university in the nation.
