A mile-long portion of Interstate 985 in Gwinnett County will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday for roadwork.
The northbound right lane of I-985, about one mile from Interstate 85, will be closed 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Crews will be working to remove damaged concrete slabs and pour new concrete.
"This work will create delays on I-985 north and will likely back up traffic to I-85," DOT District Engineer Todd McDuffie said. "Our maintenance crew will work diligently to get the work done and get out of the road before the evening commute begins. If everything goes well, we could be out of the road earlier, but we want you to know that we do expect delays on the interstate as the work occurs."
