The Affordable Care Act has reduced the number of uninsured Americans, but it’s come with a price tag that Hall County government is helping to pay. The county has paid about $200,000 in fees so far related to the health care reform bill, and that figure is likely to double over the next three years, according to Human Resources Director Bill Moats. But it’s in 2018 when the big financial hit will come.
