The old saying goes “a man’s home is his castle.” If that’s true, more than a dozen residents came to the Hall County Board of Commissioners meeting Thursday night to defend their castles. There were three issues that involved property owners looking for permission to alter zoning or rules for their property in order to make additional income — from one man hoping to convert a lake-view house into a short-term rental home to a woman seeking to build a dog kennel at her rural home.
