Safety improvements on a short but treacherous stretch of Union Church Road in South Hall County could take place within the next year. The Hall County Board of Commissioners voted last week to approve a Georgia Department of Transportation contract for right of way acquisition as part of the work, costs estimated at $130,000. The project, estimated to cost $1 million, involves improvements at a culvert off Deaton Creek.
