A Hall County jailer is accused of having lewd videos of an underage girl on his cellphone, according to authorities.

Neftali Jaramillo, 20, of Gainesville, was terminated from his job and arrested Thursday, charged with sexual exploitation.

“During the course of an investigation in which Jaramillo was accused of taking items of clothing from the 16-year-old victim, investigators located (lewd) videos of the minor on Jaramillo’s cellphone,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Nicole Bailes said in a news release.

Jaramillo had a prior relationship with the girl and obtained the videos consensually, but she was younger than 18 when the videos were created, Bailes said.

According to the warrants, four digital videos were produced. The material includes “dancing completely nude” and filmed sex between Jaramillo and the girl, according to the warrants.

Bailes said the girl, who is Jaramillo’s ex-girlfriend, made the complaint to police. She was age 15 in the videos, Bailes said.

The phone number listed for Jaramillo in the Hall County Comprehensive Justice Information System went straight to voicemail when called by The Times, and the mailbox was full.

Jaramillo was hired roughly three months ago and was still a probationary employee.

He has posted a $11,200 bond and will have a committal hearing Nov. 23.
