In time for Memorial Day, Hall County Fire Services will have a new 23-foot rescue boat. The county’s marine rescue team, which is now in its 10th year, has needed a new boat to sustain the amount of use on Lake Lanier, said Deputy Fire Chief Chad Black. The $106,000 boat will have more room for responders to perform medical operations in addition to a 64-inch bow-door clearance to let people on and off of the vessel.
