The Hall County Board of Education voted Monday to approve $339,040 in projects funded by special purpose local option sales tax money. The amount includes $59,000 for parking lot improvements at Mount Vernon Elementary School, 4844 Jim Hood Road, in North Hall, and $45,000 for heating, ventilation and air conditioning improvements at the Academies of Discovery at the old South Hall Middle School campus off Ga. 13/Atlanta Highway. Deputy Superintendent Lee Lovett told the school board that SPLOST revenues are up slightly over last year.
