Property tax in Hall County is due on Monday.

The Hall County Tax Commissioner’s offices will be closed for Thanksgiving today in compliance with the Hall County government holiday schedule.

For the convenience of residents, the ability to pay property tax online is offered at tax.hallcounty.org. Alternately, to process payments more efficiently, residents are encouraged to remit their payment by mail using the return envelope to P. O. Box 1579, Gainesville, GA 30503. Payments made in full that are USPS-postmarked or dropped off at the Hall County Government Center by 5 p.m. Monday will be honored as a timely payment and will not incur any interest as mandated by the state.

Residents may also use the drop box outside the entrance of the Hall County Government Center, 2875 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville. A payment box is also located near the information table so those who do not wish to wait may drop their payment there during regular business hours.

Those who wish to pay by check, debit or credit card are encouraged to use either of the drop boxes or to use the online service. A 2.59 percent bank fee is added to all debit/credit payments.

For more information, contact Tax Commissioner Darla Eden at 770-531-6960 or deden@hallcounty.org.
