Hall County confirms 18th rabies case of 2009
Skunk found in North Hall tested positive on Monday

Hall County has confirmed its 18th confirmed rabies case of the year in an incident involving a skunk and a dog Thursday on Farmer Road in North Hall.

The skunk was shipped Monday to the Georgia Public Health Lab-Virology Section in Decatur, where it was confirmed to be rabid. 

Signs will be posted in the area alerting residents. Those who see animals acting abnormally are asked to call Animal Services at 770-531-6830 or after-hours call Hall County Dispatch at 770-536-8812.
