Hall County’s Board of Commissioners on Thursday approved an agreement with Free Chapel that trades weekend parking availability at the government center for access to the church’s McEver Road driveway.Free Chapel will be able to use the new Hall County Government Center lot as overflow parking during weekend services.In exchange, the church has donated an easement to the county that allows employees and the public to exit from the center to McEver Road. Free Chapel will also pay for the upkeep of the driveway.Commissioners, who voted unanimously for the agreement, praised it Thursday.“They are giving us some valuable property,” Commissioner Scott Gibbs said, noting that the donated property fronts McEver Road.“It’s nice to have a situation where this is a win-win,” added Commissioner Craig Lutz.In other business, commissioners also held their first public hearing on a plan to take over the cost of electricity for streetlights on Floyd Road and Barnes Road.
