Some Southeast Hall County residents were irate after the Hall County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the expansion of the Gainesville Quarry. Residents voiced concerns over the expansion at the board meeting Thursday evening, saying they were worried about structural damage to their homes and contamination of water wells. The quarry uses demolition devices to remove crushed stones for construction use.
