Hall compactor, recycling sites busier after Christmas holiday

After opening gifts, residents’ houses become filled with discarded wrapping paper, bags and packaging. After Christmas Day, much of that moves to Hall County’s compactor and recycling sites. “The morning started out pretty slow, but by 1 p.m. we were just swamped,” said Johnnie Vickers, Hall County’s Solid Waste director.
