The Americans with Disabilities Act Legacy Tour made a stop Friday at First Baptist Church in Gainesville to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the historic passing of the ADA on July 26, 1990. The tour is hitting 80 cities across the country “to raise public awareness and generate excitement about ADA25.” The exhibits includes work by civil rights photographer Tom Olin, an ADA pledge and a handmade quilt that people can sign.
