Repairs are expected to be completed by this afternoon on a gas leak that occurred Friday in the area of Friendship Road and Spout Springs Road and has affected traffic in the area, according to Capt. Zachary Brackett with Hall County Fire Services.

Atlanta Gas Light is working on repairs to a 6-inch line about 15 feet deep in the ground. Crews have slowed the flow of gas from the line and are awaiting a larger piece of equipment to complete the repair, Brackett reported.

No injuries have been reported.

Traffic has been rerouted, and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible. Sparta Way off of Friendship Road is the only road closure.
