Renae Smith got a big surprise on her 48th birthday, not from her family, but from the Georgia Lottery.

Smith, a Gainesville resident, won $100,000 - the top prize in the lottery's instant Cash Harvest game.

"It was already a wonderful day," Smith said. "This just put it over the top."

The ticket was purchased at a Chevron Food Mart on Browns Bridge Road in Cumming by Smith's husband, Byron Smith, as a birthday gift.

According to Smith, she plans to pay off a few bills with some of the prize money.
