The millage rate for the Gainesville school system in fiscal year 2014 has been set at 7.59. That rate, which remains the same from FY13, was approved unanimously Thursday at a called meeting of the board of education. The approved FY14 budget, with the general fund set at $57.5 million, was calculated with that 7.59 millage.
