The Gainesville Board of Education and Wanda Creel, superintendent for the city schools, have reached an agreement about her contract, but the details of that agreement will remain secret until the board’s Sept. 6 meeting. The board met for nearly two hours Thursday morning — its second lengthy closed session in two weeks — before adjourning with no action. Board chairwoman Delores Diaz said an agreement has been reached, but it must be approved by the board before details are explained.
