Gainesville man killed in single-vehicle wreck

A Gainesville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash north of Gainesville at about 6 p.m. Saturday.

Thomas Bradley “Brad” Garrett, 29, was traveling east on Lakeland Road when his car veered off the road on a curve. When his car came back on the road, it overturned twice, according to a press release from the Georgia State Patrol.

Garrett was a machinist for P P & G, according to his obituary. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where he was involved in several ministries, and was a graduate of North Hall High School.

Garrett was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the state patrol.

There were no passengers in the car, and no other vehicles were involved.
