A Gainesville man was airlifted with a head injury following a motorcycle accident this afternoon north of Exit 12 on Interstate 985 northbound, according to Gordy Wright, spokesman with the Georgia State Patrol. Christopher Daniel Haynes, 27, was driving a 1997 Honda motorcycle when it struck the rear of a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero that had slowed due to traffic, Wright said. Haynes was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
