Gainesville man charged with trafficking cocaine

Merrick Kelo Harrison, 33, of Gainesville, was charged Monday with trafficking cocaine after about 2.5 ounces of crack cocaine was sold for $1,400 at a location on Tulip Drive, according to Hall County sheriff's officials.

The drugs held an estimated street value of approximately $7,000, according to sheriff's officials.

Harrison also was charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and sale of cocaine.

Agents with the Multi Agency Narcotics Squad, Gang Task Force, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Hall County Sheriff's Office Uniformed Patrol Division, arrested Harrison and he was booked at the Hall County Jail.
