A Gainesville man is accused of threatening people with an AK-47 rifle and kidnapping a baby, police said. Marquis Bonds, 24, is charged with aggravated assault after what police call an “erratic crime spree” Monday in Gainesville.Gainesville Police said Bonds first pulled his car in front of Imam Bilal Ali, of the Gainesville Islamic Center, on Prior Street. “He threatens his life, opens up one of the car doors and starts opening up a bag to retrieve the rifle,” Deputy Chief Jay Parrish said.
