A Gainesville man has been arrested as a suspect in a Tennessee murder case.
Hall County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Nicholas Ronnie Dean Jones, 19, and was holding him Tuesday at the Hall County Jail, said Col. Jeff Strickland, sheriff's office spokesman.
Jones was awaiting extradition to Monroe County in Southeast Tennessee.
Investigators from the Monroe County Sheriff Department in Tennessee contacted Hall County Sunday night to request help in arresting Jones, who was believed to be in the Hall County area at the time.
Hall sheriff's deputies developed leads and Jones agreed to meet deputies at a public park on Pearl Nix Parkway where he was taken into custody without incident, Strickland said.
Deputies "were able to make contact with family members and arrange a location where Jones agreed to turn himself in," he said.
Also arrested in connection with the crime is Brandy Elizabeth Ann Wiseman, 19, of Gainesville.
She was arrested earlier Monday at a home on Duckett Mill Road and also is being held at the jail awaiting extradition.
Details about the murder case weren't available Tuesday.
Strickland deferred to Lt. Jennifer Bledsoe, spokeswoman for the Monroe sheriff department, who couldn't be reached for comment. Monroe Sheriff Bill Bivens also couldn't be reached for comment.
