Players broke from the usual protocol and charged onto the field Saturday morning at City Park during opening day ceremonies for the Gainesville Parks and Recreation baseball and softball teams. The annual parade and ceremonies, a longtime Gainesville Little League tradition, marked the start of the spring season.
