There are two new ways to report watering violations.

The city of Gainesville has set up a new phone number strictly for reporting watering violations, and residents can report violations on the internet.

City officials have set up an e mail address in response to the amount of phone calls the city has received since the beginning of the level four drought response, according to a press release from the city of Gainesville.

Gainesville residents can send reports of a watering violation to waterviolators@gainesville.org. Those reporting violations should include the address and the time of the violation and tell the city if the violation is recurring, according to the press release.
