The Gainesville and Hall County school systems have made some recent adjustments to their Web sites.

Gainesville has added a "Board Governance System" page that gives contact information for each of the City Board of Education members and features access to recent news articles, the district calendar, system policies and test scores.

The page also features a link to a legislative watch sponsored by the Georgia School Boards Association.

To reach the site, visit http://www.gcssk12.net/ and click on "Board of Education" and then "Online Board Meeting Minutes & Agendas."

The Hall County system has started a new feature off its main page, "Reinforcing Learning at Home."

The site offers parents resources for helping their students in different academic areas.

For example, parents can download and print the 250 most common "sight," or easily recognizable, words in the English language.

"The most powerful predictor of high student achievement is parents/guardians who believe they are the primary educator of their own children," states the Web site.

The page also features the College Board’s SAT Question of the Day.

To access the page, visit http://www.hallco.org/main/index.asp and click on "Learning at Home."
