While banks and government offices are closed, Memorial Park Funeral Home will celebrate today’s Presidents’ Day holiday by dedicating a Presidential room.

The room at the funeral home’s Memorial Park Drive location features photos of all 44 presidents, from George Washington to Barack Obama.

The room also has photos of each man’s birthplace and boyhood home. For the deceased presidents, the display also has photos of their final resting places.

"This room will be used as an educational and learning tool for local schools, Scout troops and the community to learn about our past leaders," said Billy Hendrix, the business’ director of public relations and community affairs.

The public is invited and light refreshments will be served from 10 a.m. to noon for today’s dedication.

The Presidential room will be open for viewing during the funeral home’s normal business hours, Hendrix said.
