Keep Hall Beautiful is taking grant applications for the Hall County Tree Replacement Fund.

Government agencies, schools, businesses and nonprofit organizations can apply for grants of up to $1,000 to purchase and plant trees.

The trees can be either new to an area or replacements for older trees that have died or been cut down. They may be planted on either public or private land. However, plantings on private property must be accessible to the public, such as in a designated historic area. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 15.
