The Hall County Sheriff’s Office has established a memorial fund at the United Community Bank in Gainesville for the family of Officer Larry Perry.

Perry lost twin sons, 4-year-old Christian and Keyshawn Perry, in an automobile crash in Florida that killed six people over the weekend.

They were traveling with family as part of a spring break trip, sheriff’s spokesman Jeff Strickland said.

Pedro Juan Ocasio Alcazar, 38, of Jacksonville, Fla., was speeding in a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro when his car hit the 2010 Nissan van driven by Melissa Mitchell.

Her car then went into the median and hit a pickup truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol’s accident report.

Perry has worked at the sheriff’s office for about three years and is assigned to the Jail Division.

Anyone who would like to make a contribution to the fund can do so at any United Community Bank branch, the Hall County Sheriff’s

Office headquarters on Main Street or at the Hall County Detention Center at 1700 Barber Road.
