The forecast of possible freezing rain Monday morning has led to the cancellation of school across multiple Northeast Georgia counties.
The Hall County and Gainesville systems and Lakeview Academy called off classes for Monday, though Hall will have a school-from-home day.
The National Weather Service was calling for a chance of rain or freezing rain before noon Monday in Hall, with “little to no ice accumulation expected.”
Also canceling classes were Forsyth and Lumpkin counties.
Lanier Technical College called off Monday classes on all of its campus, Brenau University delayed its opening until 12:30 p.m. and the University of North Georgia’s classes won’t start until 1 p.m.
