A forum on changes made last year in HOPE scholarship grade-point average calculations is set for 7 tonight at the Hall County school system offices at 711 Green St.

Daniel McGrail, a Johnson High School senior, has organized the meeting with help from school system officials.

McGrail, the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition student at Johnson this year, has invited officials from the Georgia Student Finance Commission, college admissions offices, Advanced Placement teachers, area school board members, state lawmakers and parents to the event.

The topic focuses on new HOPE guidelines that gives equal GPA footing to students taking all courses, regardless of advanced levels.
