After a monthlong investigation, a former Hall County Sheriff’s Office clerk has been charged with transaction card theft. Trina Banks Burtch, 46, of Gainesville, who worked as a clerk in the Hall County Jail, is a seven-year employee of the sheriff’s office. Burtch resigned Nov. 3 amid a joint investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the sheriff’s internal affairs office.
