A Flowery Branch man was arrested Friday after a car chase with Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies.Brian Joseph Brewner, 25, was charged with two counts of theft by taking/motor vehicle, theft by taking (misdemeanor), felony obstruction, fleeing and attempting to elude, plus numerous moving violations. Additional charges may be pending.A Hall deputy attempted to stop a 2007 Nissan Sentra in the area of Thurman Tanner Parkway and Plainview Road after receiving an alert for the vehicle. The suspect fled, at one point running an Oakwood police department vehicle off the road.The police vehicle did not crash, and no one was injured.The deputy called off the chase because of the suspect’s dangerous driving, but the vehicle was found abandoned a short time later on Osborne Road.A K-9 police dog was called in and tracked him to a storage building behind a nearby residence, where he was arrested.
