Co-chairwomen for the event, Cherry Valentine and Sharon Farkas, are seeking ideas and suggestions for projects for the communitywide work day.
During Great Day of Service, Gainesville First United Methodist Church members will disperse to organizations, agencies and individual homes throughout the community to see how many lives can be touched in one day.
Volunteers will paint, repair, clean, sew, hammer and plant for those in need.
If you know of an agency or organization that is in need of an improvement project, please request a Great Day of Service Project Application from Shirley Corders at Gainesville First United Methodist Church by calling 770-536-2341 or e-mailing scorders@gfumc.com. Project applications also can be found online at www.gfumc.com/gds.
