A fire sent two people to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with minor burns on Tuesday night and destroyed a home on Airport Drive in Gainesville. A house fire was reported in the 1000 block of Airport Drive at about 7:52 p.m. Responding units could see a large column of smoke while en route and found a 1,000-square-foot home fully involved, Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said. While some units extinguished the fire, other units treated the two people with minor burn injuries, he said.
