A family of three has been displaced by a Sunday house fire that left at least 75 percent of the home damaged.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle confirmed the blaze, which was in the 5000 block of Balus Drive near Oakwood. Fire crews ended up closing the residential road for a period late Sunday afternoon to battle the flames.

All three occupants were able to escape the fire, which they told officials they first spotted off the house’s back deck. The fire is still under investigation.
