Fire destroys South Hall home; 4 adults escape safely

A family of four is homeless but safe after an overnight fire destroyed their South Hall home.

Hall County firefighters responded to the call in the 5200 block of Strickland Road in Flowery Branch, Fire Chief David Kimbrell said in a news release. Four adults were living in the home at the time but escaped safely.

Firefighters found the approximately 3,600-square-foot home about 70 percent involved im flames.

Fire crews were able to put out the fire but the house is a total loss, with damage estimated at $500,000.

An investigator is on the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
