Hall County firefighters responded to a singlewide mobile home fire at 1:47 a.m. Sunday. Capt. Scott Cagle said the mobile home, located on the 5000 block of Wallace Road off Athens Highway, was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene. Cagle said no one was home at the time of the fire.

After firefighters deemed the structure safe to enter, they began combating the fire from the interior of the structure and extinguished the blaze in about 30 minutes. Cagle said the owner of the home, Bobbie Reece, was not injured.

"She and her family were a very nice family, and my heart goes out to her because she basically lost everything she owned," Cagle said. "She has no insurance, and the home and contents are a total loss."
