Hall County Fire Services responded to a fire Wednesday morning involving a shed at a residence on Carl Drive off Dawsonville Highway.

Authorities blocked off Carl Drive and one lane on Dawsonville Highway while crews battled the fire that destroyed the 20-foot-by-20-foot shed. A second building was also exposed to the fire but didn't receive extensive damage.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said initially fire crews believed there was an explosion but found no evidence of that.

"Units were able to get the fire knocked down quickly with a defensive attack," Kimbrell said.

There were no injuries and crews are investigating the cause.
