A Flowery Branch home was declared a total loss Sunday afternoon after fire gutted the home, said Capt. Scott Cagle, fire marshal for Hall County Fire Services.

Firefighters were called to the fire at 5355 Hog Mountain Road at about 12:15 p.m.

The 2,000-square-foot home was about 80 percent in flames, Cagle said.

The structure was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries at the scene, he said.

Fire officials still were trying to contact the owner Sunday.

Cagle’s office is still investigating the fire.
