A young family of four lost their home and belongings early this morning in a fire on C. Loggins Road.

Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said Britney Weaver, 19, awoke to the sound of fire crackling shortly before 6 this morning and was able to escape the double-wide mobile home at 3923 C. Loggins Road with her husband, Corey, age 20, and children, ages 10 months and 2 years.

When firefighters arrived shortly afterward, about a third of the home was burning, Cagle said. The fire, which was believed to have started on the front porch, destroyed the home, he said.

About 15 firefighters got the fire under control by 6:30 a.m.

The Weaver family was being helped by relatives, Cagle said.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, Cagle said. It may have started from sparks from a wood stove inside the home, he said.
