Hall County firefighters put out a blaze Tuesday night at a body shop in the 5900 block of Main Street in Lula, according to Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell. No one was injured.

Firefighters were called about 7:25 p.m. and found a 5,000-square-foot building with heavy fire showing, he said. The fire was reported by a passer-by.

The fire was contained to Redmons Garage. It started in a pickup truck, Kimbrell said, destroying that vehicle. There also was fire damage to the garage and another vehicle, with some light smoke damage done to a thrift store adjacent. The overall damage is estimated at $50,000.

The cause of the fire was unknown, Kimbrell said.
