A fatal accident on Interstate 85 at the I-985 split in Gwinnett County has shut down northbound lanes on Interstate 85 and traffic is being diverted to I-985 North.

Cpl. Jake Smith, public information officer for the Gwinnett County Police Department, said a motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a truck.

There were no other injuries and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
