Police briefly evacuated the Gainesville Walmart on Thursday after someone called in a bomb threat.

The person, who has not been identified, called the store around 12:15 p.m. and said a bomb was in the restroom, said Joe Britte, public information officer for the Gainesville Police Department.

The store was immediately evacuated and police searched the entire store but found no indication of a bomb, Britte said.

All employees and customers were allowed back in the store around 1:15 p.m.
