The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced public meetings on transportation projects planned in Northeast Georgia. The meetings are set for 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Helen City Hall, 25 Alpenrosen Strasse, and 5-7 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Jefferson Civic Center and Clubhouse, 65 Kissam St., Jefferson. Residents will be able to look at a draft of the fiscal 2014-17 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, Georgia’s four-year transportation program.
