A former youth soccer coach pleaded guilty Wednesday to molesting two teenage girls and received an eight-year prison sentence, Banks County prosecutors said.

Matthew Allen Wyrick, 23, was a coach with the North Georgia Soccer Association when he molested one of the victims he was coaching at the time, said Piedmont Judicial Circuit District Attorney Rick Bridgeman.

He was arrested at his home in Habersham County in August 2006. The molestations occurred in Banks County,
officials said.

The ages of the victims and the circumstances in which they were molested were not disclosed.

Wyrick pleaded guilty to two counts of child molestation and received a 20-year sentence, with eight years to serve in prison and the rest on probation.

He must register as a sex offender upon his release and will be prohibited from having unsupervised contact with anyone younger than 18.
